ACData’s Surge Brix™ Series utilizes metal oxide varistor (MOV) technology to provide reliable, heavy-duty AC surge suppression. With high energy handling capabilities and built-in safety features, the Surge Brix Series is ideal for transfer switches and load centers, as it protects critical equipment.

Each module has a maximum surge current capacity of 80 kA 8/20 ms, and can be used independently or stacked to strengthen suppression. Surge Brix for 120 VAC service have built-in internal current limiting and thermal fusing. The C120M220 has a 200 kAIC rating and requires no breaker up to 200 kAIC. With breakers, other Surge Brix modules are rated up to 65 kAIC. Suppression components are safely housed in a compact aluminum enclosure.
